10K ROAD RACE
The 10K course has been certified (NY05037AM) to be accurate by the USA Track &
Field / Road Running Technical Council.
The course starts west along Lehigh Station Road, crossing East Henrietta Road, then
Middle road until it turns North onto West Henrietta Road.
After making the turn, the runners are greeted by Methodist Hill, which is by far the most
challenging change in elevation throughout the course.
The course turns east onto Calkins Road (past the Channel 13 news station).
Calkins Road is a long, straight, fast section of the course and many runners will enjoy
their fastest miles of the course on this road.
The Henrietta Town Hall and Town Library will be on the right of the runners as they
make their way along Calkins Road.
Before turning onto 15A – East Henrietta Road runners will see Wegman’s and SYMS.
East Henrietta Road will take runners past Gro Moore Farms and Pontillos.
It is all “down hill” from here as the runners make the final turn back onto Lehigh Station
Road and literally sprint to the finish line.
The 2 mile Fun Walk
The walkers will start at the Rush Henrietta Senior High School and proceed west along
Lehigh Station Road, enjoying the safety of sidewalks along the entire course.
They will make a left hand (south) turn onto Authors Road, walk around the bus turn
around at Sherman Elementary School and return along the same course back to the
high school.
