Drunken driver imprisoned D&C 8-4-07
A Sweden man was ordered to prison Friday for seriously injuring a Greece man while driving
drunk. Monroe County Court Judge John J. Connell sentenced Michael P. Mattot, 49, to spend one
to three years behind bars for second-degree vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated on
Sept. 22, 2006. The injured victim was Dan Munson, 20. Mattot was driving on Route 31, near
Route 19, when he hit the rear of a pickup truck driven by Carl H. Turner III, 27. Turner's truck was
knocked into the oncoming lane of traffic, where it hit Munson's car. Turner pleaded guilty to leaving
the scene of an accident and will be jailed for one year.
